Google to reveal new Android feature tomorrow

Google confirmed that the company will announce a new Android feature tomorrow, August 12, at an event at its company headquarters in Mountain View, Calif.
This is a “small event” that will result in a Google blog post, according to a Google spokesperson, so it’s unlikely to be a major announcement like Android 3.0 “Gingerbread.” We’re more likely to see a new Android feature or application, such as Google Maps Navigation or Google Goggles.
As Android 2.2 is currently rolling out to phones such as the Sprint EVO and Motorola Droid, we may get an update on that progress. Google may also take time to explain their controversial net-neutrality pact with Verizon, where the company abandoned the idea of net neutrality over wireless networks.
PCMag.com will be on the scene and provide a full report.
